Hari Govind is senior vice president of infrastructure at Target, responsible for cloud and compute, network connectivity, data centers, field engineering and data systems that power Target's stores, online, distribution centers and enterprise locations. Hari has more than 20 years of experience leading engineering and product teams. He most recently served as GM for Platforms and infrastructure at Facebook, where he led strategy and execution to scale platforms for Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp and Oculus. Prior to that, he worked at Microsoft Corp leading teams that built platform capabilities for Bing and Xbox. Hari has a master of science in engineering from Purdue University.

Helen Altshuler is the CEO and co-founder of EngFlow, an Andreessen Horowitz backed SaaS startup that is redefining the way teams build software, leading to better tools, happier engineers, faster product iterations, and more successful companies. Helen has over 20 years of software development, start-up CTO, and director of engineering experience at Google, PeerIQ and J.P. Morgan. She's had diverse experience of managing Google Maps data platform engineering, leading the adoption of open source build system Bazel at Google, and building enterprise grade software at PeerIQ and JP Morgan. Helen's unique expertise is in growing diverse and productive tech teams, building SaaS products from inception to production and scaling and leading large software systems and organizations. She is a trusted startup and CTO advisor (Techstars, CapitalG, Quesnay), Girls Who Code instructor, tech and career speaker, hackathon mentor and judge, and board advisor at Pace University School of CSIS. Helen graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Pace University Seidenberg School of CSIS. She is passionate about developing a diverse tech pipeline, and has been recognized among 10 engineering leaders closing the gender gap in NYC.

Armon Dadgar is one of the CTO and Co-founder of HashiCorp. He has a passion for security and distributed systems and applies those to the world of DevOps tooling and cloud infrastructure. As a former engineer, he has worked on the design and implementation of many of the core HashiCorp products. He has been named to the Forbes and Inc.'s 30-under-30 lists for transforming enterprise technology. He studied computer science at the University of Washington, where he met his Co-founder Mitchell Hashimoto.

Prior to Airbnb, Kamini spent 6 years at LinkedIn where she was leading infrastructure and productivity engineering teams for its flagship website and apps. To complement her functional role, Kamini champions diversity and belonging in the workplace and is a co-sponsor for Airbnb’s tech diversity council.

Carin Taylor is chief diversity officer at Workday and has global responsibility for the development and execution of Workday’s inclusion and diversity strategy. Additionally, Carin serves on the board of Watermark, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase the number of women in leadership positions. Prior to joining Workday, Carin served as the head of diversity, inclusion, and innovation at Genentech where she was responsible for strategic initiatives including executive coaching, building and leading highly effective teams, and increasing employee engagement. She was also responsible for creating strategies to successfully recruit, develop, and retain diverse workforces as well as enabling large organizations to leverage diversity and inclusion to drive innovation. Before Genentech, Carin held various positions in human resources, inclusion and diversity, finance, and customer service at Cisco Systems.

Vasilios Hoffman is a vice president within Target tech, leading an organization that combines software and systems engineering to improve the reliability and efficiencies of Target's production systems and the ability to seamlessly operate business critical services. Vasilios joined Target in October 2021 after 16 years at Google, where he led efforts to harden, modernize, and scale key parts of the business from Gmail and Drive to Serverless and Kubernetes in Google's Cloud.

Lead Data Engineer, Target
Min Wang is a lead data engineer in the High Performance Machine Learning team at Target. Since joining Target in 2020, Min has been working on improving the customer experience for fashion items via multimodal machine learning methods. Min received her Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Central Florida in 2020. Her Ph.D. research focused on optimizing the computational performance and efficiency of deep neural networks.

Scott Raynovich has been following Internet and communications technology long enough to remember what Token Ring and Silicon Investor were. He has won several industry awards, including a Folio award for best website (Redherring.com, 1999) and an Editor & Publisher award for Best Business Blog. He is also a columnist for Forbes.com and Fierce Telecom. A technology analyst and writer for 25 years, he helped champion the rise of the Internet bubble as New York Bureau Chief for the seminal Red Herring magazine during the 1990s, embraced the telecom boom and bust as Editor in Chief of communications trade Light Reading for eight years in the 2000s, and published one of the first reports on SD-WAN technology at the Rayno Report in 2014, which was acquired by SDxCentral.com in 2015. After doubling the research revenue at SDxCentral.com, Raynovich left to start a new research business in 2016. Futuriom was founded in 2017 to deliver insights into the hottest trends and demands driving cloud technology.

Michael currently serves as the Technical Fellow for Data and Analytics, Chief Financial Office, Chief Legal Office, and Governance, Risk, and Compliance. He is also the Chief Enterprise Information Architect. Primary objectives in these roles include setting long-term strategic technical direction and information management direction for the Association for USAA, working with business side partners to understand needs and future capabilities, and selection of analytic and data infrastructure.

Anupama Joshi is a senior director for High Performance Computing at Target and has over 15 years of technical experience in development and leading engineering teams. Before Target she managed Search and Discovery for America’s 6th most used website, Reddit.com. Prior to that, she worked at Adobe, VMWare, Chegg and bio-tech startup, Epinomics, where she led the roadmap and delivery of their genomic data platform. Anupama actively mentors students at Hackbright Academy, a leading engineering school for women in the San Francisco Bay Area, has spoken at various conferences and is a strong proponent of diverse and inclusive workplaces.

John Engelman is a senior director of technology in Target tech. John is a regular open source contributor and maintainer and a passionate leader in enabling highly resilient infrastructure for the every-day developer. He has experience in software and systems designs in defense, healthcare, logistics, and retail. John joined Target in 2017 as a principal engineer and was instrumental in defining and building the Target Application Platform (TAP) to enable Target's multi-cloud capabilities. In 2020, John helped to bootstrap Target's Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams with a focus on guest experiences. Since 2021, John has lead the teams responsible for delivering best of class developer platforms across a hybrid cloud landscape and Target's stores.

Shirin Rostamian is a principal product manager for High Performance Computing in Target’s Infrastructure organization where her team is responsible for high throughput, low latency stream processing and real-time analytics. Previously, Shirin led product strategy at a Big Data startup company in Silicon Valley that catered to Fortune 50 companies and was later acquired by Target to solve enterprise problems with a focus on high performance computing. In her free time, Shirin enjoys traveling to new countries and learning about new cultures.

Ratna Malladi is the Principal Product Manager at Target responsible for network strategy. She has over 20 years of professional experience in networking. Over the years she has seen the networking industry transform to cloud-native architectures along with the incorporated changes that need to be brought into the organization to make the shift. Prior to joining Target, Ratna worked in large companies like Cisco, HPE and medium and small sized companies like F5, Appcito and Aerohive. Ratna grew up in India and currently lives in the Bay Area with her family. In her spare time she likes to listen to Indian classical music, volunteering for nonprofits and traveling to new places.

Brenda O’Kane is vice president of Cloud and Compute, Infrastructure at Target. Brenda joined Target in 2021, bringing with her over 20 years of experience leading engineering and product teams. Most recently, she led product and engineering teams working on the launch of Disney+. Prior to Target and Disney, Brenda worked at Salesforce, Yahoo and Oracle.

Jay Singonahalli is the senior director of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Experience Centric Infrastructure at Target. He is building and leading teams of engineers to run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems and helping Target teams consistently achieve high levels of system availability, security, scalability, performance, and efficiency of Target’s Infrastructure. He lives in the Peninsula with his wife and when not working, thoroughly enjoys the challenge of lowering his golf handicap.

Ryan’s professional passion is helping organizations modernize and scale their network infrastructures. He strongly believes in continuous education and self-development as the most important traits every IT professional must possess.
